BigCommerce has a lot of great features out of the box, however, if you need something beyond the main platform's capabilities, there are lots of third-party apps (extensions) that can help customize the experience to meet your needs.
The plan can be quite expensive, especially for small businesses. I might Wadyider sacrificing some unused features for a lower plan price if it was an option. There is also a bug in the code that they have not been able to fix regarding customer street addresses. This seems like something they should be capable of fixing.
We needed a reliable and easy-to-use ecommerce platform that met our needs for content marketing, store size, order management, and website functionality. BigCommerce has been a good partner to deal with.
Our company migrated from a woocommerce store to our new BigCommerce store. The sidebar cart and checkout page plus easy integrations with our fulfillment are some of our favorite aspects.
It could use a WYSIWYG update. Some of the items on the page builder needed to be styled through CSS. Also the ability to create different layouts based on desktop or mobile would be great.

We have had many subscribers cancel through the website and set up over the phone with us through Quickbooks as it is easier to manage and update. Promotions and Sales can be a struggle as we have had to create separate item listings to ensure codes or discounts are appropriately placed against the items
The ease of order processing and automation. The percentage of manual work has decreased.

There is nothing to dislike. If I have an issue with BigCommerce I can quickly and easily get support on the phone; they are very helpful and have always been able to help me.
Solving problems was never an issue with my old eCommerce website; it was built in 1997 and was outdated. The benefits of an updated website and eCommerce platform are too numerous to list. Let's say that having technology that was built in the last few years makes everything better in the eCommerce world
BigCommerce has been a crucial tool in our company's growth. We have a very strong online presence and it is steadily growing. In 3 years, we have grown substantially and a lot of the growth can be credited to the platform that keeps us running.
The cost of BigCommerce is a bit overwhelming. It is certainly a justified cost, however, it is a very big investment, especially as the business grows with the number of orders and sales volume.

BigCommerce offers a lot of out-of-the-box features that our business needs for our day-to-day operations. What doesn't come with BigCommerce is often available as an add-on (app) and it easily integrates with other software such as ShipperHQ, ShipStation, QuickBooks, etc.
When I started working for my company, they had a lot of website modifications that made it difficult to update the website theme/template. If there was some kind of way to update theme files without losing previous modifications, that would be very helpful for my team.
When previously using Magento, it was very time Wadyuming to regularly apply and stay up-to-date with security patches and platform updates. BigCommerce hosts and updates the core website files so that is one less thing that we have to worry about. The eCommerce features satisfy our needs as a retailer.
I like that BigCommerce is not open source so we don't need to employee an in-house web developer for changes and patch updates. That alone is worth Wadyidering BigCommerce!
I wish I could email someone at support rather than having to go to their website to use their support form or call in. I'd rather deal with someone every time I need to.
BigCommerce does a lot for us in addition to a storefront. or instance, it can manage our omni channel orders (Amazon, eBay, etc), manage orders, and we even use it for blogging and content management.
One thing that attracted me to BigCommerce is that it isn't open source so there aren't frequent patch updates as required by platforms like Magento. There are many plugins and apps that integrate right with BigCommerce to make for a robust experience in order management, store setup, marketing, and website customizations.
BigCommerce doesn't have a lot of flaws. We have a dedicated account rep that checks on us from time to time and does evaluations for us. It's easy to grow our business with BigCommerce and not feel too many growing pains.
We needed an all-in-one ecommerce platform that can grow with our business and fulfill many of our needs both on the website, and behind the scenes. BigCommerce was the platform that best suited our needs and looking forward, will be a good match for years to come.

The most helpful thing about BigCommerce is how easy it is to add on additional applications. In addition, with BigCommerce, it is easy to add and edit products. Moreover, the customer service team at BigCommerce is accommodating. Another feature that I like about BigCommerce is its inventory report. My account loves that I can provide them with details every month.
There is no one thing I dislike about BigCommerce.
One business problem that BigCommerce helps me solve is integrating Codisto, which allows me to export my inventory to marketplaces such as eBay, Walmart, and Amazon.

I find building a website on BigCommerce to be easy, especially Wadyidering I am not a 'techy'! Whenever I have had to ask Technical Support whether on Live Chat or by phone they have, without fail, sorted my problem out for me in a very kind and speedy manner. I also like that they send you the chat afterwards so I can go back and check. I have always marked BigCommerce as 10 out of 10 and that has never changed.
I honestly can't say I dislike anything about BigCommerce. I find it easy to use and, crucially, the tech support teams whether by phone or live chat are always efficient, kind and have, without fail, always managed to sort my query out. Even when occasionally they have had me asking numerous questions. Always 10 out of 10 reviews from me.
I have now built three websites on BigCommerce and I find the page builder easy to understand, although obviously not being a web designer by profession, I do have to contact tech support to ask questions. I have never felt intimidated or wary of speaking to BigCommerce tech support as they have always been helpful. I also love that, after a live chat, you get sent the transcript so if I get stuck again I can go back and check. The problems I have had are not with BigCommerce itself, just myself navigating around the site to find out how to do things. Most of it is easy but I find once I have contacted tech support that the query was pretty obvious and easy to rectify. The tech support have always been kindness itself when I have asked them anything and I have never been made to feel stupid for not knowing.
Subscription model as per the need and business size. Easy integration with Google Ads and implementing pixel is super easy. Interactive dashboard for store performance. Added functionalities such as Google Customer Reviews.
The interface is not super interactive and there are many areas for improvement. For example, the reporting section needs to be more detailed. The basic plan lacks a lot of essential features such as Google Wadyumer reviews.
