We really enjoy the data visualizations on snapshots as both a source of information and a kind of "snackable insight" for project managers.
We've had trouble implementing snapshots on A/B tests.
We use it in conjunction onsite surveys via Delighted to amplify and provide context to the data. It's helpful monitoring, and seeing click throughs and scroll depth easily in one place is handy for redesigning or arranging new modules on a given page.
Visual, easy to understand way of presenting data
Not enough detail in the data, could use a more detailed export to csv or list view
Crazy Egg is best for filling in the gaps in our more advanced tracking and creating an easy to understand, compelling visual to add to presentations. I like to use it to compare two pages or to compare an A and B variant, or two elements on a page.
Confetti and Heat maps allow managers to quickly focus on issues that would otherwise be harder to translate for data analysts wanting to communicate usability issues up the chain. The recent additional of A/B and multivariate testing, along with session replay, has really brought the product and platform up to a new level. If their road map continues along this path, Crazy Egg is headed in a great direction for its users.
There could be more integrations with Crazy Egg, in order to bolster it's power, connecting IDs from other commonly used analytics software. Also, the pricing model could be discounted for non-profit and government sectors, as they may not be able to afford higher tier services.
Usability issues mostly, but also content design issues related to placement. Scrolling on various devices forces certain design choices, and CE is one tool we use to evaluate those decisions.
The software is very intuitive and easy to use. If you can't figure something out right away, the help center has answers to all the questions you may have. They also host webinars on different subjects to help educate us on the different functionalities we can use.
So far I have not come across anything I dislike about CrazyEgg.
CrazyEgg is helping us figure out internal and external traffic within our corporate website. It is also showing us visitor journey and where they are going and spending the most time, this will be helpful so we can decide what pages we need to add more content to or re-design.
Easy to use and very intuitive. I like how segmentation works.
I would like to spend more time with a product specialist to go over reports and insights
AB testing, choosing the best alternatives. We've been able to achieve greater conversions. Heat maps are great and we've been able to identify some bugs with session replays.
Crazy egg gives you in a glance what exactly your visitors are doing, where they are clicking, what areas are not visible to them, what is most clicked. This is valuable information in the age of mobile and responsive browsing. It is completely friendly, easy to use, very intuitive and integrates with any kind of site, not only wordpress.
It can been a bit pricey if your sites get a lot of visitors. If I didnt' have an old account in a free plan, I wouldn't be able to afford it. There was a change in price a very while ago that made me stick with the free plan forever to not lose it. I keep it to get samples of my websites's statistics. But I do wish I could afford the full plan for each site.
It has allow me to make changes in my advertising strategies to get better profit. There are some areas in my site that were not getting the attention it deserved and others that turn up didn't get me any ROI whatsoever. This is a tool to be used as much as any analytics. I highly recommend it with my eyes closed. No wonder it's a Neil Patel product. Excellent as all his products.
The snapshots offer a variety of ways to track how visitors are exploring and using your website.
I think it's a little pricey for small business for subscriptions.
We are able to view exactly how users are interacting with our website and what is drawing their interest. We've made several changes to landing pages based on the results from Crazy Egg.
I love the heatmaps it generates for your website pages so you can see where people are clicking on the page and how far they scroll down the page
I don't think there is anything in particular that I dislike about this tool, it works well for me
I'm able to see how website visitors interact and engage with pages on my website and see what types of calls to action, buttons, content, offers, etc. are working and what is not so I can continue to make optimizations to my site and help improve conversion rates.
Crazy Egg is super easy to set up and it is always well received by team members. Additionally, it is far more user friendly and easier to digest that Google Analytics in-page tool which is why I think its worthwhile to invest in this tool if you can.
It would be nice to have the option to pay monthly vs annually. Additionally, it would be great if they rolled out more visualization features.
We are able to better understand how to make improvements on our site based on the heat maps. It provides an unbiased view for the team to learn what may not be working well on the site.
I like the variety of visualization options. Heatmap, boxes, dots, etc.
Wish it would occupy a bigger part of my daily analysis. The product is something I only check in on every couple of months.
Benefits - better way of identifying what resonates with customers, I have learned a lot about user behaviour on websites.
