The ease of interface. It's easy to find what you need. I also like the chance to upload pictures of receipts.
You can't access everything on the app. Sometimes I want to do things on the go that I can't
Tracking income, analyzing expenses
Easy billing of clients, clients can pay right when they see the invoice and I can record partial payments
Nothing really. It does what it says it's supposed to do.
Keeping track of my billable hours and then billing clients. Much easier to keep track of hours and invoices. There's a paper trail for everything.
Freshbooks is a great platform to track time and bill clients.
It's not always as intuitive as it could be. Servers can be slow if you're dealing with a large amount of data.
Easily track time and bill clients. Love the reports features.
Ease of use. The ability to send invoices with the click of a button. Keeping track of unpaid invoices. Customizing templates.
At this time, I do not have any complaints or issues with this program. It seems to do everything it is supposed to do.
Invoicing clients, keeping track of accounts receivable.
I am pretty satisfied with Freshbooks because: - it allows me to see how much progress I've made on a project based on estimate hours I input - it automatically sends out invoice reminders to clients if invoices have not been paid, so it streamlines the process and saves me time - allows my team to track hours so I can see how much time they devote to different projects in a day
- I think the interface could look better - I wish I could organize information better so all my invoices and clients aren't mixed up. It would be nice to click on a client and then only see all the invoices I have sent them - I like to look at the previous invoice before I send out a new invoice to a client, so this could be made easier rather than having to search through all my invoices to find a previous invoice
This saves me time and money. I used to track invoices manually in an excel spreadsheet which required a lot of time, organization, and memory. I feel like Freshbooks takes care of most things for me and is easy to access.
I love that I can access it from anywhere and anytime. I also love the user experience.
I wish that it had more robust features and that it integrated with my kennel software solution.
helps me track all my financial expenses, labor costs and allows me to import my financial information from Excel.
I like the painlessness of the process of creating invoices in Freshbooks
I need extra training myself to fully understand how to use the product
I have solved the problem of getting paid easily and in a professional manner.
Like most accounting software, Freshbooks can cover the basics of tracking expenses, invoicing, and reporting/analytics. The template for the invoices is good, and it's fairly easy to use on both desktop and phone app, although the phone app is pretty limited.
I wish the phone app were more robust--you can't view any reports, for instance. It also has some quirks, like displaying the wrong date for expenses (drop-down will display Jan 3, for example, and the record will say Jan 2), and drop-down announcement bars that you can't disable, which end up blocking the search bar, thereby slowing down the data-entry process. Also, it does not always sync with bank accounts, though credit cards have been fine. I had one customer report that they were not been able to successfully complete ACH transactions.
Invoicing, keeping track of expenses. It's helped me streamline my bookkeping and stay up-to-date.
I like mostly everything; time tracking, invoice generator, the reports, all of it is helpful.
I wish it allowed for contracts and electronic signatures. That would allow for complete workflow.
Invoicing is super easy, so is tracking my expenses, organizing my clients and having important data at my fingertips.
The simplicity of use. Very clean interface and easy to navigate. Freshbooks can integrate with many other software platforms. We use it with our proposal softwares and Hubspot. Clean integrations through Zapier.
The price. When I started using it 4 years ago, it was half the price with more features. It seems like it goes up twice a year. The classic version of freshbooks didn't have the slick new interface but it did seem to have more features. I liked that version much better and the pricing too. It wasn't a deal breaker but I feel I'm paying more for less.
For my industry, it is great for invoicing and keeping track of day to day expenses.
It's handy to have an all-in-one client tracking and invoicing solution.
I'd love it if payment notification emails were a bit more comprehensive. Wadyolidating money transfer notices from multiple payment sources means I have to figure out what came from what.
Invoicing and getting paid is faster, although I have not tested the speed of payment vs PayPal invoicing, which I used to use. I like that time tracking is connected to invoicing, as I used to have to use two different tools.
I do like the fact that I can keep track
Almost every future you need to upgrade and pay more money
Did no realize to many benefits since the sync with the banks did not work properly I had to keep check everything manual and found lots of duplicates.
The automated invoices are great. I used to love how easy it was to contact support but that's gone now. I also like the customizable dashboard.
The cost. I have more than 50 clients, but a lot of them only need a couple hours of work done every other month. With that being said, I'm forced to use a 2nd time logging application because I can't afford the 100 client tier. Now my finances are a mess and I've been losing tons of money. Also, the extension for Chrome is sometimes impossible to work with. It takes minutes just to select a specific project most of the time. Also, there are a lot of features missing from the automatic invoices that I wish they'd include. For example, if I'm on retainer with someone and they go over their hours, it's really tough for me to compose the updated invoice for them that month.
I still have to send out some of my invoices manually just because of the issue described above, but for the 50 clients that I do have on Freshbooks, the automatic invoicing has made my life a lot easier.
Management of recurring invoices and payments save me time each month to focus on my work.
Downsides is they at they don't take their user requests that serious or implement changes fast enough. Example: the "Share Invoice" link is over 100 characters. No super easy to share.
Wadytantly changing some aspects that have become a habit in my workflow causing me lost time.
It was pretty convenient. The phone app allows the attorney to record time and expense. The website, which I used the most, allowed me to easily send the clients their bills and providing client's the option to request fund via PayPal. Customer Support was fast and punctual as well. Also, allowed me to work and update the invoice without being in the office.
The layout was a little weird as there were a "Quantity", "Cost", etc. section and it was weird looking at it cause it when I enter time, I need to enter in "number of hours" as Quantity, but for things that are classified as "expense" such as gas, court fees, etc., I need to enter "1" to all of these which makes the invoice looks weird at the end. There's also cost if I want the bill to be snail mail by Freshbook.
I was trying to create billing and invoice for our clients. It definitely was an improvement compared with the previous software we used.
Freshbooks is very easy to use. They allow my company to streamline invoices and send them directly to customers.
There is nothing I dislike about Freshbooks.
Getting paid on time and being straightforward with invoicing.
Automatic reports and ease of use, connectivity to business checking account.
Inability to connect to Stripe and lack of options for payment processing. I use stripe and wish I could connect sales to Freshbooks so that I didn't have to create invoices that do not need to be paid.
Good P&L reporting and expense categorizing
The interface and interactions are colorful and friendly. The experience of using Freshbooks is as far from a dry spreadsheet as it's possible to get.
The core functionalities - like creating and tracking projects, adding time, assigning tasks to projects - could be streamlined a bit. There are more steps than necessary for what should be simple tasks.
Great for small businesses needing to track time and send invoices to a limited number of clients.
It's really easy to use. Liked the clean design. The ebook that came with was very helpful.
I wish they could expand beyond its service-oriented professionals market and start creating products for general small busineses.
Mostly for billings and some accounting. I liked the built-in templates.
Love the interface very easy to navigate. Intuitive and the support I had been stellar
Lately FreshBooks has given me some problems within my books but I’m certain that these can be taken care of.
Ease of allowing my employees to record time on client sites making it easy to bill
