Loom is easy to use and works well with the business that we are in. As Wadyultants, we are Wadytantly using Loom to show our clients what we have done, how, and how they can make changes going forward.
My only complaint is that I would like a better way to organize my Looms. Sometimes I have to dig to find the videos that I or my team have produced. Maybe some sound editing abilities as well.
We use Loom every day to record projects that we are working on and common solutions that a user might need in the future. Loom lets us create a library of helpful videos that we can pull from that the user can use to work through known issues.
Loom provides an easy-to-use tool for creating videos on the fly to respond to emails OR share my screen to provide feedback. In turn, I'm able to eliminate meetings while still being personable with my clients and colleagues.
I cannot think of anything I dislike about Loom. It is a great tool. I've been using it since the tool came available years ago and have loved the new features they have rolled out over time.
Loom gives me the ability to connect in a personable manner without scheduling a meeting. Loom allows me to provide feedback or coach on concepts without the big production in a formalized presentation. Loom also allows me make emails more engaging because it records my expressions and inflections.
Loom cuts down the need for phone calls. I have only had to hop on one support call in just about 2 years because Loom replaces the need.
No ability to add scripts to my screen so I don't need to look away from the camera.
I can send recordings of how to fix items, or how to complete tasks and I do not need to have multiple phone calls about the same items. Clients can save my videos and refer back to them for future reference.
Loom is a great tool for recording your screen. They make it so easy to use!
I wish there were more features in the editing portion of the software.
Loom mostly helps me with tutorials for my clients and employees.
Saves time, very easy to use (especially with the Chrome extension), great video features available, simple for our customers to view videos, easy to embed in help articles.
No real downsides. Occasionally a video will not save, so I'll have to re-record it, but this is rare.
Resolving customer support issues, reducing time spent typing up instructions, reducing the need for virtual meetings. This makes us more productive as a team so we can help more customers each day.

Software engineering - creating screenflows for showing engineers what features to build. Product management - showing product managers what features we need and how they align with our vision, to develop tickets for software engineers.
Very easy and quick to generate a content to explain your point of view. We are heavily using it for effective communcation.
Some settting has to be disabled if you want to build a formal training content. Not straightforward.

I wish there were more options to make is a useful tool for tutorial videos for YouTube, such as slicing, highlighting where the mouse arrow is located, and removing sensitive information.
We have meetings with clients who talk about their business. We need to share those meetings with other team members as well as remember what they said.
My team works all across the country in different time zones, and Looms helps us to connect during all times of day and keeps us working efficiently in our fast-pace company. It's great to be able to not have to schedule a Zoom call with someone and can instead send them a Loom video, and get notified when they have viewed it so you are able to hold your team accountable. It's great that this integrates with Zoom as well, it helps keep all of our work in one place.
I would like to the tool to trim clips out of videos was set up more like iMovie so I could see where I clipped last as I am working on clipping out a differnt part.
It helps me reduce the number of Zoom meetings I have to schedule and coordinate. Helps working with remote team members in all different time zones easier beause we can communicate via Loom at our own time.
Love the flexibility to edit clips and that loom automatically shortens the video by speeding it up. Commenting at certain time stamps is a huge plus too.
No downsides from what I've experienced so far.
Huge time-saver and supports reducing unnecessary meetings that can be easily taken care of in a quick loom video.
