Only recently started using it, and can already see the benefits. Can't believe I've been doing so much work, without using surfer for so long! I'm using it alongside Jasper.
The price is a little bit too high, however for the amount of time I'm saving already it seems worth it. Very confusing to start with, but once you get a hand on things its great!
Without surfer, I've found it much harder and takes much longer to do key word research. I've put some of my old blogs into it, and realised how weak they are for SEO.
I can easily analyze the common factors in the top SERPs and then write a well-optimized blog pact with content. If you had to pick between an= keyword research tool or SurferSEO, I would pick SurferSEO. It has keyword research, backlink research, backlink gap, and content optimizer.
The cost might be too costly if you are a new blogger without much funds to invest in a tool. The mid-tier pricing with NLP only allows like 30 content credits, but it doesn't roll over. I hope they change this.

Very easy to use. I would gladly pay over 600 dollars for Surfer. I have gotten at least 50 times the value from Surfer.
The amount of data and intelligence that Surfer SEO provides to users is insurmountable. While the Content Editor is the core piece of technology, the Content Planner, SERP analyzer and Keyword Research tools are just as valuable.
I have to be honest here and say that there's really nothing about Surfer SEO that I dislike or think needs to be changed.
